USAID’s TB Platforms collaborates with Manila City Health Office and its stakeholders on localized TB campaigns and public outreach. Even before onset of COVID-19, the City Health Office has been planning to launch its program that will help eradicate TB in the country.
According to USAID, the TB Platforms has supported the drafting and passage of the city government’s local TB Ordinance appropriating P3M annual budget for their TB program.
Dubbed, “Todas ang TB Todits!” the campaign will be formally launched in August in time for the National Lung Month celebration. USAID added that the campaign will also highlight how the City Government of Manila will strengthen their TB response amid COVID-19.
USAID’s TB Platforms Field Operations Area Manager Dr. Hansel Ybañez along with the project’s Sustainable Finance and Partnerships Specialist Dr. David Lozada Jr. have been engaging PhilHealth personnel in various webinars to explain the latest accreditation process for TB DOTS facilities.
