Quirino Province ready to welcome returning residents

March 14, 2021 Uncategorized

CABARROGUIS, Quirino, May 10 (PIA)—The provincial government here has created guidelines on the management of the returning Quirinians to ensure that everything will be ready upon their arrival in the province.

Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua said President Duterte signed the Balik Probinsya Program which aims to decongest highly urbanized cities by encouraging people to relocate to their provinces and so the province should be prepared to welcome the residents who intend to come home.

In his memorandum order, Gov. Cua  has directed all  residents requesting for assistance in coming back home to contact the  Provincial Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office at  0977-803-0737 or at their FB page Pdrrmo Quirino and provide the following:  name of individual resident,  address in the province, proof of residence, contact number, address where he or she is currently staying at and proposed means of travel. If the resident opts to use his private vehicle, he or she is advised to include vehicle details and itinerary.

Furthermore, the returning resident must give his consent to the following:  RT-PCR Covid-19 Confirmatory Test, if required; and the Prescribed 14-day quarantine, whether at home or in the designated isolation facility in the province.

Refusal to submit and sign the consent form would mean automatic disapproval of the request to return to the province.

The prescribed 14- day quarantine can be held at home if there is an available room where the returning resident will be the only occupant. He or she shall be strictly monitored by the Barangay Health Emergency Response Team or BHERT.

If there is no available room where the returning Quirinian will be the only occupant, he or she will stay at the isolation facility prepared by the barangay, MLGU, or PLGU.

As of today, the province is preparing for the arrival of some 464 stranded residents. (MDCT/TCB/PIA 2-Quirino)
