PTTC-GMEA launches Self-Help E-Learning Modules
QUEZON CITY, July 26 (PIA) – In celebration of the National Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises (MSME) Week 2020, the Philippine Trade Training Center – Global MSME Academy (PTTC-GMEA) launched 137 Self-Help E-Learning Modules on Monday, July 20 in its first virtual celebration of the said event.
Undersecretary Abdulgani Macatoman said the training modules will help strengthen the MSME capabilities to be new normal ready.
PTTC-GMEA’s Exec. Dir. Nelly Nita Dillera on the one hand said that the Academy will continue to support MSMEs and help build resilience for businesses to still thrive during the pandemic.
“Consistent to this year’s theme of ‘Recovery to Resilience,’ the PTTC-GMEA will not remain static in a dynamic world. However, we are looking into retooling, reskilling and upskilling MSMEs to strengthen them and their workforce in terms of capability-building,” Dillera said.
Dillera shared that the 137 self-help modules were prepared by the PTTC team which can be accessed in the cellphones and laptops. She added that learners can study the modules at their own pace.
Some of the topics of the self-help modules are, e-commerce, export made easy, good manufacturing practices, food safety, among others.
Dillera also said that the website also features modules from PTTC-GMEAs global trade academy partners, such as ASEAN MSME academy, International trade Centre Academy and International Chamber of Commerce Academy.

Aside from these modules, Macatoman said that PTTC will still conduct free webinars for MSMEs.
