PNP receives masks donations, isolation gowns from TECO
PASIG CITY, June 18 (PIA) — The Philippine National Police (PNP) on Wednesday received donations of masks and isolation gowns from the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in the Philippines.
TECO Philippines Head of Mission, Michael Peiyung Shu and Executive Assistant, Mr. Jerry Wang personally handed over the donations to PNP chief General Archie Francisco Gamboa at the PNP National Headquarters in Camp Crame, Quezon City.
The PNP chief expressed his gratitude to the Taipei Economic and Cultural Office for the donation, which will be used by police frontliners in the country’s fight to arrest COVID-19.
The donation includes 50,000 pieces of surgical masks, also 5,000 pieces of filtered N95 face masks, and 2,000 pieces of isolation gowns.
Earlier, the Taiwan government and Taiwanese groups in the Philippines donated hundreds of face masks and personal protective equipment or PPEs for use by PNP medical frontliners. (PIA-NCR)
