Padilla: Let us cooperate to maintain our MGCQ status
BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 12 (PIA) – Governor Carlos Padilla has urged Novo Vizcayanos to cooperate and constantly practice COVID-19 health protocols to maintain the province’s status as under Modified General Community Quarantine (MGCQ).
“We are thankful for the cooperation and support of our fellow Novo Vizcayanos because we are already elevated into the MGCQ status. We hope that by sustaining our cooperation, support and compliance to the basic health protocols, we can go further to a more improved status,” he said during the recent meeting of the Provincial COVID-19 Task Force.
Padilla said that while the MGCQ status has been raised in the province, it is expected that more establishments will be opened and movement of more villagers are expected.
He said there is a need for vigilance among various sectors to prevent the spread of the COVID-19 in the province.
Padilla also urged the Philippine National Police (PNP) and other government agencies to respond immediately on the report of villagers regarding violators of the COVID-19 health protocols.
“There is also a need to conduct regular monitoring of business establishments due to reports that most of these industries usually violate the social distancing, wearing of face masks and disinfection protocols, among others,” he said.
The governor also encouraged Novo Vizcayanos to always comply and follow health protocols to prevent the massive infection of the disease in the province. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
