Kawit LGU launches #ProjectHiram in support of SMSEs
KAWIT, Cavite Jun 20 (PIA) — Mayor Angelo Aguinaldo recently launched #ProjectHiram, one of the local government’s projects under #AlagangAguinaldo to help micro and small businesses in the town.
“COVID-19 had hit us hard especially the micro and small businesses in our country. As your Mayor, I wish to help you and your livelihoods recover. That’s why we’re launching #ProjectHiram, a financial lending program to help grow our micro and small Kawiteño entrepreneurs!” stated Mayor Aguinaldo.
The project primarily aims to jumpstart the economy by supporting the small businesses that suffered losses due to the pandemic and who are trying to keep their business afloat.
Eligible applicants are those who are self-employed, micro or small entrepreneurs engaged in legitimate livelihood for at least 1 year prior to declaration of ECQ on March 16, 2020; registered/majority owner, aged between 18 yo – 65yo; with a business asset of not more than Php500,000.00. For owners beyond 65yo, a co-borrower will be required by the Kawit LGU/Business Permit & Licencing Office.
A minimum loanable amount of Php35,000 to a maximum amount of Php50,000 can be availed thru the lending program with zero interest payable in one year, or a 6% service charge for loans payable in 12 months. A six month grace period for the payment of the principal loan amount is one of the reliefs that could be extended to borrowers.
Documents required for the application are: 1 valid ID with picture, previous and updated business registration documents, accomplished application form which can be downloaded fromt the LGU website, a picture of the business establishment as well as the pieces of equipment, machines and inventory of stocks/goods, and a proof of residency such as barangay clearance of non-derogatory record or barangay certificate of residency/proof of billing with the same address with the ID.
