CABARROGUIS, Quirino, June 13 (PIA)—Governor Dakila Carlo E. Cua during the virtual launching of the Project New Normal: A Webinar Series  recently has expressed optimism that the project will lead to series of innovations in finding new ways to adjust to the new normal in education.

The governor said he is happy and thankful to the partnership of the  Department of Education and Quirino State University as he assured the continuous support of the provincial government in this endeavor.

“Because of your expertise, volunteerism and love for our province, we have become the first province to launch a webinar series,” Cua said.

Cua also said the COVID-19 pandemic has brought so much hassles, disasters and changes in the ordinary practices, many were locked down and stranded in the different places but he said he believes that life must go on and learning must go on.

“Hinahanap natin anong paraan paano magbago, mag-adjust at ako’y naniniwala basta’t ipakita natin ang pagkakaisa natin dito sa Quirino dahil walang imposible,” Cua said.

Furthermore, Cua said as a parent of young learners aged seven, five and three, he fully understands how hard to teach children. The parents or guardians must know the lessons, must be creative and patient that is why the webinar has been conceptualized to equip the parents with the skills and knowledge they need to properly guide their children, who under current circumstances will be constrained to learn at home.

“Sa tingin ko po, hindi tayo kailangang maging expert, hindi kailangang alam natin ang Trigonometry o Calculus o anumang mabibigat na subjects sa inaaral ng ating mga anak, ngunit dapat marunong tayong mag-stimulate, dapat nating ipaalala sa kanila ang halaga ng pag-aaral, dapat ma-encourange natin ang mga anak nating magsumikap kahit hindi sila nakikita ng kanilang mga guro,” Cua added.

Cua also reminded the parents to encourage their children to have their own will and desire to learn and improve theirselves and not just rely in Google and calculator. (TCB)
