DILG exec praises Vizcaya BADACs

BAYOMBONG, Nueva Vizcaya, July 22(PIA) – Officials of the Department of the Interior and Local Government (DILG) has praised barangays in this province for their major contribution to the illegal drug clearing of their communities.

Engr. Elma Urbina, DILG provincial director said that the 275 barangays through their Barangay Anti-Illegal Drug Council (BADACs) are 100 percent compliant with their functionality and operations.

“We are happy to note and report this performance because the role of the barangays is very important in eradicating the illegal drug problem in their respective communities. And with this we extend our gratitude and support,” she said.

Urbina made the statement during the recent declaration of drug-cleared barangays in the province at the provincial capitol in this town.

She also reiterated their agency’s commitment to assist the barangays of the province in their campaign to make their communities drug-free and cleared.

Urbina, along with Governor Carlos Padilla, newly-installed Philippine National Police (PNP) Regional Director Crizaldo Nieves, Nueva Vizcaya Police Director Richard Saavedra, John Tugadi, Provincial Coordinator of the Department of Health (DOH) and Armendo Gaudia, Provincial Officer of the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) awarded recognitions to the 10 barangays of the province which were declared as drug-cleared.

These barangays are Bangar in Solano town, Casat in Bayombong town, Nangalisan, Murong and Sta. Clara of Bagabag town, Dullao and Aliaga in Bambang town and Alloy, Papaya and Kongkong in Kasibu town. (MDCT/BME/PIA 2-Nueva Vizcaya)
