Dgte IATF: 261 PUMs in Dgte asymptomatic
DUMAGUETE CITY, June 29 (PIA) –- Dumaguete City’s Inter-Agency Task Force on Emerging Infectious Diseases reported yesterday that none of the 261 Persons Under Monitoring (PUMs) seen and examined by the City Health workers manifested symptoms of Influenza Like Illness (ILI).
City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sara Talla reported that the two COVID-19 patients, who are currently confined in separate isolation facilities, have shown encouraging signs of improving health.
Local authorities are asking members of the public to pray for their full recovery.
Meanwhile, of the 261 PUMs, 114 are in designated hotel facilities, 97 in the community isolation center, while 50 are on home quarantine or in barangay isolation facilities.
Fifteen PUMs were released today after they completed the mandatory 14-day quarantine in the different isolation facilities without showing any signs and symptoms of ILI.
However, nine locally stranded individuals (LSIs) arrived yesterday from Bohol, Misamis Oriental, Cagayan De Oro, and Siquijor and are now on quarantine.
Since the city’s IATF quarantined all returning residents last March 2020, about 1, 219 PUMs (80 of whom are OFWs) have been released and rejoined their respective families after completing the mandatory quarantine without showing any symptoms of ILI.
