DFA’s Aseana and Alabang consular office back in operation
PARAÑAQUE CITY, June 8 (PIA) — The two Consular Offices of the Department of Foreign Affairs (DFA) in Metro Manila that have been temporarily closed for disinfection last week is now fully operational.
DFA Undersecretary Brigido Dulay during the Laging Handa public briefing, reported that the Alabang consular office has been opened since Monday, while the Aseana consular office resumes its operations Wednesday.
Dulay says the consular offices have been disinfected and contact tracing has been conducted to ensure the safety of those who are availing of consular services and its employees.
DFA announced on Saturday, July 5 that Consular Offices located in Aseana in Parañaque City, and NCR South which is in Metro Alabang Town Center in Muntinlupa will be closed on July 06 until further notice after receiving reports of confirmed COVID cases. However, the Department in the same day announced that its NCR South consular office will be open on Monday, July 6.
Health and safety protocols are being implemented in all of DFA’s consular offices in adherence to the Department of Health’s (DOH) workplace guidelines. (PIA-NCR)
