COVID-19 cases in CagVal now at 140
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, July 9 (PIA) – – The Corona Virus Disease 2019 (COVID-19) cases in Cagayan Valley region has already reached 140 following the additional 10 new confirmed positive cases by the Department of Health (DOH) region 2.
In the press statement of DOH Health Education and Promotions Unit, six of the new cases are from Isabela province and four from this province.
In the latest data, Patient CV131 is a 30-year-old female, a native of Lal-lo, Cagayan and a locally stranded individual (LSI) from Pasay City. She is asymptomatic and now at the isolation facility of the said Local Government Unit (LGU).
Patient CV 132 is a 42-year-old female from Enrile, Cagayan, also an LSI who traveled from Quezon City. She is also asymptomatic and now at the LGU isolation facility.
Patient CV 133 is a 27-year-old female from San Manuel, Isabela. She is also an LSI from Makati City and asymptomatic. She is now at the LGU isolation facility.
Patient CV 134, a 46-year-old male who had a travel history in Batasan, Manila and Patient CV 135, a 41-year-old female who had a travel history in Malabon City, are both natives of Baggao, Cagayan. They are both asymptomatic and now at the Cagayan Valley Medical Center.
Patient CV 136 is a 48- year-old female from Alicia, Isabela, an LSI who had a travel history in Quezon City. He experienced cough and now at the Southern Isabela Medical Center (SIMC).
Patient CV137 is 29-year-old female from Cordon, Isabela, without travel history and history of exposure. She experienced on and off colds. She is now at SIMC.
Patient CV138 is a 33-year-old male from Echague, Isabela, an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Kuwait. He is asymptomatic and now at the LGU isolation facility in Cordon, Isabela.
Patient CV 139 is 36-year-old male from Tumauini, Isabela, also an OFW from Saudi Arabia. He is also asymptomatic and now at the LGU isolation facility in Cauayan City.
Patient CV140 is a 21-year-old female from Roxas, Isabela. She is an LSI from Makati City. She is aysmptomatic and now at the LGU quarantine facility of the said town.
DOH-2 officials said contact tracing is now being conducted by the agencies and LGUs concerned to determine if there are other close contacts of the newly positive cases. (MDCT/OTB/PIA 2-Cagayan)
