City gov’t wants to boost economic activity amid COVID-19 pandemic
CITY OF ILAGAN, Isabela, July 28 (PIA) – The City Government here through its local chief executive has expressed desire to boost the economic activity in the city despite the COVID-19 pandemic assuring that health and safety protocols will be in place.
City of Ilagan Mayor Josemarie L. Diaz made the assurance during his latest virtual message posted at the city government Facebook account MyCity Ilagan.
Diaz said the city government’s programs, projects and services in providing livelihood, employment and business opportunities will continue in the city but with strict implementation of the health and safety protocols imposed by the IATF.
“We should have a balancing act, health, and the economy, the people must have other means and resources to support their living and sustain their needs,” Diaz said.
As a concrete measure, Diaz said the city government has laid down its economic stimulus plan that will deliver the needed impetus for development.
He said the city government will ensure that Ilagueños are continuously working, moving up and earning to sustain their everyday living in time of crisis.
He also lauded the sacrifices of frontline workers who are working day and night just to ensure that the city will be a COVID -19 free place in the province. (MDCT/MGE/PIA-2/Isabela)
