CagVal’s confirmed COVID-19 cases now at 152
TUGUEGARAO CITY, Cagayan, July 10 (PIA) – – Four new cases of Corona Virus Disease were recorded today by the Department of Health (DOH) region 2, bringing the total number of regional cases into 152.
Llester Guzman of the DOH-2’s Health Education and Promotions Unit (HEPU) reported that CV 149 is a 47 year-old female from Allacapan, Cagayan. She is a locally stranded individual (LSI) who had a travel history in Manila. She is asymptomatic and now at the quarantine facility of the Local Government Unit of Allacapan.
CV 150 is a 12 year-old male from the City of Ilagan who had travel histories in Southern Leyte and Manila. He is also asymptomatic and now at the quarantine facility of the provincial LGU.
CV 151 is a 23 year-old female from Echague, Isabela. She is an Overseas Filipino Worker (OFW) from Saudi Arabia who arrived in the country last June 18. She underwent mandatory quarantine from June 18 to July 5 in Manila and traveled to Isabela last July 7. She was subjected to swab test upon her arrival in the province where her result turned positive today. The patient is asymptomatic and now at the LGU quarantine facility.
CV 152 is a 47 year-old male from Iguig, Cagayan, an LSI who had a travel history in Caloocan City. He experienced cough, thus he was immediately transferred to the Cagayan Valley Medical Center.
Guzman said contact tracing is now being undertaken by concerned officials and LGUs to determine close contacts of the newly positive cases. (ALM/OTB/PIA-Cagayan)
