23 repatriated OFWs discharged from quarantine in NegOr

DUMAGUETE CITY, May 13 (PIA) — Mayor Felipe Antonio Remollo confirmed that the 23 repatriated Overseas Filipino Workers (OFWs) have been released after they have completed the 14-day mandatory quarantine at an isolation facility arranged by the Provincial Inter-Agency Task Force (IATF) COVID-19.

All the OFWs tested negative for COVID-19 infection as reported by Dr. Liland Estacion, Incident Commander of the IATF.

The OFWs, seven of whom are residents of Dumaguete City while the rest are from other cities and towns of Negros Oriental, have  now returned to their respective families upon release from quarantine Tuesday.

Remollo said all returning residents will have to comply with the protocols, including the requirement for a Certificate of Acceptance by the City Government signed by the mayor through the recommendation of City Health Officer Dr. Maria Sarah Talla with consent of the Punong Barangay concerned.

Returning residents of the city must abide by the rules issued by the Office of Governor Roel Degamo to facilitate their homecoming.

The rules are as follows:

From Areas with COVID-19 Cases:
1. Certificate of Quarantine from RHU/CHU;
2. RDT with Negative Result;
3. Certificate of Good Health and Fit to Travel from RHU/CHU;
4. Certificate of Acceptance from their home-LGU with Conforme from the Returning-Resident for a Mandatory Quarantine in an LGU Facility upon return; and
5. LGU Vehicle to fetch returning residents from the border, seaport or airport to be coordinated by the home-province.

From Areas With No COVID-19 Cases:
1. Certificate of Quarantine from RHU/CHU;
2. Health Certificate from RHU/CHU;
3. Certification of No COVID-19 Case from RHU/CHU;
4. Certificate of Acceptance from their home-LGU with Conforme from the Returning-Resident for a Mandatory Quarantine in an LGU Facility upon return;
5. LGU Vehicle to fetch returning residents from the border, seaport or airport to be coordinated by the home-province.

The same requirements also apply to stranded senior citizens, minors, and pregnant women. (jct/PIA7 Negros Oriental)
