20 stranded MSU students are now home in MisOcc
OZAMIZ CITY, Misamis Occidental, May 14 (PIA) – Some 20 students from Misamis Occidental who are studying at the Mindanao State University (MSU) in Marawi City and Naawan campuses are now home through the provincial government’s Balik Misamis Occidental.
The students were not able to go home when caught by the imposition of general community quaratine (GCQ)due to coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19).
Provincial Tourism Coordinator, Moriel Cañete said that the students were picked up in Iligan City by the Tangub City’s vehicle then sent directly to Doña Maria D. Tan hospital to undergo a rapid test to determine their health condition.
After the test, they were right away sent to their respective local government unit’s holding centers to undergo 14-day quarantine.
