Gretchen Barretto and Kathryn Bernardo will show the beauty of Bhutan through The Princess and I
March 31, 2012
ABS-CBN’s newest Primetime teleserye The Princess and I will premiere this April 16 (Monday) topbilled by Albert Martinez and Gretchen Barretto. It will also star Enrique Gil, Khalil Ramos and Daniel Padilla who have been dubbed as the three “Prince Charming of Primetime” and Kapamilya “Princess of Primetime,” Kathryn Bernardo.
The Princess and I tells the fairytale story of the Kingdom of Yangdon led by King Anand (Albert), where behind all the King’s wealth, power and title, is a saddening empty space in his heart that is yet-to-be filled by his long-lost daughter Princess Mikay (Kathryn), who will grow up in an unfortunate life not knowing of her real identity.
As Gretchen returns on television after her performance in the hit teleserye Magkaribal, she takes on the role of a Yangdon royalty named Ashi Behati who greatly aspires to be the Queen of Yangdon.
The newest teleserye promises marvelous costumes and memorable scenes taken at the Kingdom of Bhutan.
Joining the royal cast are Dominic Ochoa, Yayo Aguila, Precious Lara Quigaman, Nina Dolino and Sharmaine Suarez. It is directed by Dado Lumibao.
The Princess and I will air starting April 16 (Monday) on ABS-CBN’s Primetime Bida.
