Pinoy Dream Academy Season 2′s first runner-up Bugoy Drilon and third runner-up Liezel Garcia have signed a contract under ABS-CBN’s music outfit Star Records for their upcoming albums.
“Contract signing for our solo album (tag-isa kami ni Liezel),” Drilon told abs-cbnNEWS.com after they inked their contract.
“Yung sa kanya kay Bugoy mauuna siyang ilabas ngayong November. So I heard po yung sa akin sinabi ng magpo-produce na by next year pa siya,” Liezel added.
To make Drilon’s album more beautiful no other than the music veteran, song writer Vehnee Saturno will be part of it.
Drilon and Garcia said they are still on the planning stages for their albums but added they are prepared to sing whatever songs the producers would want them to record.
“Ako kahit ano kahit ipakanta sa akin ay okay lang para ma-try lahat, more on RnB pero kaya ko ding mag-pop,” Drilon said.
“(Kahit ano) para po ma-try lahat more on RnB nga lang ako,” Garcia said.
Garcia said that if given a chance they would love to record the compositions of the Academy’s headmaster Cayabyab.
“Kung magkakaroon ng chance na gawin ulit ng panibagong recording siguro i-include po,” she said.
Saturno, who was also present during the contract signing, confirmed that Drilon’s Cayabyab-penned hit “Paano Na Kaya” will be part of the CD.
“…and then Ryan will be writing another song which is ang total number of songs will be six cuts ang album ni Bugoy,” Saturno added.
Saturno said that for Drilon’s album he will include two revivals and the rest are all original pop and RnB songs similar to Cayabyab’s “Paano Na Kaya.”
Drilon and Garcia said that they are really thankful to everybody especially to all their fans and supporters and to the Lord for giving them all the blessings that they are now receiving.
“Thankful ako kasi hindi namin inaakala kung saan na kami ngayon na aabot kami sa ganito. Hindi ito possible kung wala ang mga taong sumusuporta sa amin at sa tulong din po ng ABS-CBN na sila ang unang nakakilala sa talento namin,” Drilon said.
“Sobrang thank you po talaga sa Diyos sa ABS-CBN sa PDA sa Star Records sa lahat ng supporters sobrang lahat po ito ay utang namin sa kanila kasi hindi kami makakarating sa ganito kung wala po yung mga ginawa nila para sa amin lalo na po yung mga supporters,” Garcia adds.
Star Records gladly announced that Drilon’s hit “Paano Na Kaya” is number one in all radio stations and the album titled “Scholars Sing Cayabyab” is also doing well and now the number one in all Odyssey retail outlets as of last week.
Drilon and Garcia are now busy doing provincial and mall tours with the rest of the other PDA Season 2scholars and PDA Season 2′s Grand Star Dreamer Laarni Lozada.-abs-cbnNEWS.com
